WELCOME 2015!

Hello! Welcome to our second year here at Craft Hoarders Anonymous! That first year went by FAST! We have some changes coming with the new year, and I (Gloria) wanted to explain things to you before we have our BIG NEW YEAR'S KICK-OFF next week!

First, let me say thank you to all of you who played in the challenges, shared our challenge on your blogs, supported us by donating prizes, and just all around made this blog thrive this past year! I am so happy with how well the blog has done! Amazed, thankful, and just tickled pink!

However, as with all things, sometimes too much of a good thing is too much! I have found that I can no longer keep up with the pace of the blog, so rather than take the blog down, I have made the decision to change things up a bit. I hope that you will still enjoy playing along with us for 2015!

WHAT IS CHANGING?

1. We will be going to ONE challenge a month, which will post the SECOND MONDAY of the month. You will have a full month to make a project and play along. Our challenges will be the same types of amazing challenges you have enjoyed so far, but there will only be 12 for the year. We will still be encouraging you to USE UP YOUR HOARD!

2. The Design Team will continue to choose our FAVORITES each month and post those projects in a special post once per month, with links to the designers' blogs. Favorites will receive a BRAND NEW BADGE to share on their blogs (currently being redesigned). If you have seen the talent that plays our challenges, you know that being CHOSEN as a Favorite is a BIG DEAL. (At least I think so!)

3. Prizes will be offered on a RANDOM basis throughout the year, as items become available to me (Gloria). This is the change that I agonized over. Offering prizes to you is a lot of work: collecting them, storing them, mailing them, paying high postage fees, keeping track of receipt, and so on. I won't discontinue prizes, but they will NOT be offered each month. We will become a TRUE HOARDER'S challenge, and ask you to have fun using up your stuff!

4. We will be accepting guest designers on a special, invitational basis. We will keep watch for special talent and invite designers to join us for a challenge during the year.

And that is it! The other "rules and guidelines" will stand as always. Feel free to review our Challenge Rules and FAQ tabs, located at the top of the blog.

Now, I want to share some information about the wonderful Craft Hoarders Anonymous Design Team. Did you know that these ladies are on some of the best design teams in the business? I feel like I hit the big prize with this team! They make the blog what it is and I am so proud of them! Check out who else they work with! I feel like I have the cream of the crop on the team!

Challenge #22 - Have a Nice Trip

Gloria here - I am so sorry the post was late today. Blogger somehow did not publish it!  But here it is, better late than never!

Welcome to Challenge #22 here at Craft Hoarders Anonymous! We will be announcing the Challenge #21 Winners and Favorites a bit late, on December 19th. We had so many entries, and it is such a busy time of year, that the Design Team needs more days to look at all of your amazing work! Check back on Friday to see if the winner is you!

Before we get to the challenge, we have a few announcements. It is time to say good-bye to two of our FABULOUS designers. Both Jan Marie Ennenga and Karen Zueger are leaving us to pursue some personal goals. They have both been amazing friends and valuable contributors to the Hoarders blog. They will be much missed! Please stop by their blogs and say a kind word or two.

We are going to welcome two NEW designers to our ranks staring in January! Please join me in welcoming...

Nancy was originally asked to be part of the 2014 team, but life got in the way, as it is apt to do, and she had to decline the offer. We are THRILLED to have her on board for 2015. Nancy's style is a stunning mix of vintage and shabby chic. Her handmade paper flowers are the best in the business.

Teresa came to us highly recommended and we are over the moon that she accepted our invitation to join the team! Teresa's work spans several design styles, and is ALWAYS professional quality. We are excited to have her become part of our little Hoarders family!

Join us in saying a big Hoarders welcome to both ladies! To read more about Nancy and Teresa, please visit the Design Team tab at the top of the blog.

Now, on to the LAST challenge for 2014! We will still have our guest designer post next week, and our craft room reveal on the 5th Monday of December. Make sure to visit us in the New Year for some exciting changes!
